ECL host the Eclipse IDE, Adoptium, Software Defined Vehicle, Jakarta EE, and over 410+ open source projects, including runtimes, tools, specifications, and frameworks for cloud and edge applications, IoT, AI, automotive, systems engineering, open processor designs, and many others. ECL goals in FEDERATE are to support development of vendor-neutral but industry-friendly SW stack and cross-industry collaboration, create a common understanding across initiatives, align the content and the scope of development activities, foster a Vibrant SDV Open Source Community in Europe, build sustainable solutions based on open-source non-differentiating SW stack, etc. In FEDERATE, ECL acts as an open source expert, which provides open source scheme, development environment and relevant components.
