FEDERATE and HAL4SDV presented at EFECS 2024

At the European Forum for Electronic Components and Systems (EFECS) 2024, the FEDERATE project took center stage, showcasing its pivotal role in shaping Europe’s software-defined vehicle (SDV) ecosystem. Michael Paulweber (AVL List GmbH) presented the “Software-Defined Vehicle of the Future” (SDVoF) initiative. The initiative focuses on fostering collaboration among European stakeholders to develop an open SDV ecosystem, driving innovation and aligning with the goals of the European Green Deal.

Complementing this, Andreas Eckel (TTTech Computertechnik AG) highlighted the HAL4SDV project, which standardizes the interaction between hardware and software to enhance SDV scalability. Both projects closely cooperate, with FEDERATE providing a broader framework and building SDV ecosystem and HAL4SDV delivering the technical foundation for seamless hardware-software integration.

The FEDERATE project also impacted on the event’s exhibition with a vibrant booth featuring posters, notebooks, and pins. Actively visited by participants, the booth served as a platform for the project team to discuss and explain SDVoF initiative and FEDERATE activities, fostering interest and collaboration.

Through these efforts, the FEDERATE and SDVoF initiative drive Europe’s leadership in sustainable and innovative vehicle technologies. For more details, visit the EFECS website.
